Iron Deficiency?....Not Yet

At 11:05 on Friday night (12:05 Saturday by Full Tilt measures), I embarked on the quest of attempting to prove myself as an iron man. I completed my first "assignment" in just over 2 hours, having amassed 215 points at about a 100points/hr clip. I thought it was an isolated occurance as I haven't ever accumulated points that quickly. About midway through the event, I was up about $50, but slowly gave it all back by the time it ended.....in fact I was down exactly fittycence.....almost humorous. I took a look at some hand histories and saw some glaring flaws, which basically can be summed up in one word.......chasing.

Well, on Saturday night (Sunday morning), armed with a little bit more knowledge of my faults, I accumulated 250 points over an 2 and a half hours. And I was up $120 including the $20 bonus. Now that's a little better. I cut my overall losses at FT by more than 2/3 (if bonus included), so I was pretty happy about that.

So I have maxed out my potential "Iron Man" requirements in the first 2 days, and I can't see any reason I can't continue this pace for at least the next few days.......unless I start to lose my shirt.

Both nights, I did the FT max 4-tabling and it was very easy.....almost enjoyable. I suffered some pretty bad beats, included losing a full boat to quads, but I've also been able to hand out some beats too.

I have $440 in bonus to go get......man I'd love to get there. And I'm hoping this Iron Man will help give me incentive.

Speaking of the Iron Man, I took a breakdown of the challenge, and it does seem pretty stupid to chase it. But I'm a man on a mission right now, and I feel that I am up for the challenge (as I bust open my shirt to display the big red S).

How many people do you think will reach the Iron Man stage? No idea. But just trying to get there while chasing some bonus dollars, should be fun.

My parents are in town making their every 2nd or 3rd weekend visit. Which means my wife and I get to sleep in. Very nice.

My wife and I went out to dinner on our own for the first time in well over a month.......opting to go to one of our favorite dives the Ragin Cajun, home of some of the best crawfish in Houston. Between the 2 of us, we ate about 10 pounds of crawfish (that isn't a misprint for all you crawfish novices). And they were as delicious as we remembered........good stuff!
